I’ve wanted to do a business that was much manual as digital for some time, something that would involve doing art by hand sculpting on the computer with a 3D program. That search still took its time. But along the way I learned some skills like digital sculpting, 3d Printing, and also how to create moulds and cast on them.

I’ve always liked candles and I remembered if it would be possible to create my own candles?

I started doing research on the internet and came up with some sites that had candles with really cool designs that I had never seen. That’s when I saw that it was possible to create my own models for candles. I came across a world that I did not know about candles, more specifically candle sculptures in form of figurines. At same time I learned that I could make natural candles by myself, which where safer and better for the environment and for myself and others.

I started to research, went to workshops to learn with the professionals. I learned that candle making is a process that takes time, it’s a game of patience, of testing formulas and testing the models.

So I got to a process where the I sculpt digitally the model on the computer, print it on a 3D printer, acquiring what we call a Master. I then create a mould with the Master. And finally I cast the wax into the mould. After a curing process, the final piece is achieved!

This whole candle making process is something I really like. Where I´m able to create art, using the methods I desired in the beginning!
